Translation notes:

[1] - This line is a direct reference to the opening line to Sexy Zone's "Sexy Zone" (空にかざした手のひら//sora ni kazashita te no hira//Put your hands up to the sky). 

[2] - 1116 is read as "いちいちいちろく" (ichiichiichiroku) or "いいいろ" (iiiro) or which also sounds like "ii iro" or "nice colours". 

[3] - This is a call back to the song "With You" which fans voted to be put into SZ10TH and is special to Sexy Zone as it's the first song they performed together even before they officially debuted.  

[4] -  This is a call back to a line in 5TAGES (歩いていく あなたと この”未知”を//we'll continue walking with you towards this "unknown"). The word "michi" (未知//unknown) sounds the same as the word "michi" (道) for road/path, and in 5TAGES is meant to be a bit of a play on words. In Change the World they use "michi" as it is meant to be used - as road/path, so as to say that the road they are walking on is not unknown to them anymore (therefore "michinaki" (未知な), but something they are now familiar with (michiarunomi//道あるのみ).

 

This song is truly a message from Sexy Zone to the fans which reflects on where they've been and how far they've come. It references so much of their journey, from how much they struggled, to their hopes which they weren't able to bring to fruition to now, where they finally have carved out a truly solid place for themselves within Johnny's and the general entertainment industry. I only became a proper fan last year, but seeing their journey even after the fact - and with Marius's departure - hits really hard. 

I'm definitely going to translate "Timeless" as well once we get official lyrics for it. That song as well hits so hard. The connection from "5TAGE" to "Change the World" to "Timeless" is so beautiful. I hope my translations conveyed the message of these songs and the connection as well as I hoped.
