1. Yakiniku 100%
The actor for the owner of the Yakiniku store is AKIRA100%, a Japanese comedian who is mostly famous for doing gags while fully nude with only a metal tray covering his private bits, therefore the name of the Yakiniku store is Yakiniku 100%. Many items on the menu of the restaurant are also puns.
2. SADA/DASA?
A careful eye may have noticed that in Sada's apartment, he has decorations that spell out his name SADA in the glass case. A cheeky Miyama also notices this details and decides to change the order of the letters to spell DASA = lame/dumb. Oh Miyama, when will you ever stop being an absolute 5 year old?
3. Itokonchi
Kanako's CD this time "飴の慕情" (ame no bojou / Yearning for Candy) is an homage to "雨の慕情" (ame no bojou / Yearning for Rain) by Yashiro Aki. This goes back to the conversation Bando an Kana have about rain and candy
For those who remember, Jun guested on an episode of The Yakai and he took a visit to Katagiri Jin's house (the actor who plays Akashi) and made this clay haniwa (clay figures often found in burial mounds). It has finally made an appearance in the drama!
4. Newspaper article throwbacks
If you have good eyes and can read the newspaper articles of the newspaper shown at the end of the drama, there are some articles that reference characters that have appeared in the drama in the past.
- Kikuchi-san from season 1 wins a Nobel prize in chemistry
- Joker Chigazaki from episode 3 is holding a comeback live at the Budokan.
